Amy Mone

For the past 20 years, Amy Mone has served as Director of the Office of Public  Affairs for the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins. In her role, she is responsible for cancer communications strategic planning, including print publications, news and information for media, event planning and Web site development.

Previously, she was responsible for marketing and public affairs at the University of Maryland’s Greenebaum Cancer Center, also in Baltimore.

Prior to that, Amy was an associate communications officer at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in Princeton, New Jersey.  At the foundation, she was editor of a national quarterly publication and worked with the news media.  In addition, she was the grant officer for a grant to establish a national resource center for state cancer pain initiatives.

She is a past chair of the steering committee for the Public Affairs and Marketing Network of NCI-designated cancer centers.
